Event Description: Walk to Defeat ALS is a highly interactive event with endless opportunities to connect with consumers. As the ALS Association’s premier awareness and fundraising event that takes place in three Indiana cities (Ft. Wayne, Indianapolis, and Evansville) between September–October. More than 4,500 people across Indiana come together to join the movement and raise funds to support local care service programs, cutting-edge research, and advance nationwide advocacy for people living with ALS

Indiana State Fair at The Indiana State Fairgrounds. The Indiana State Fair is held for 17 days each summer, yet it lives for generations in the memories of families who experience it together. Over 750,000 people visit the Indiana State Fair each year for family fun, rides and games, barnyard animals and fabulous fair food.

This year, experience the fair from 35 feet above Main Street on the new Subaru Skyride! This amusement attraction is similar to a ski chairlift. Spanning 1,400 feet, the 90-chair aerial lift will travel east and west in a continuous loop between the Swine Barn and the Midway.

Broad Ripple Carnival at Broad Ripple Village Association. The Broad Ripple Carnival is back by popular demand. Last year the BRVA introduced the Carnival to celebrate the State's Bicentennial. Despite some rainy weather we had over 4,000 attendees! An amusement park was built on the site of Broad Ripple Park (1500 Broad Ripple Avenue) in 1906 and the carousel that once was in the park is now at the Children's Museum. Broad Ripple will celebrate the history of the area with a four-day festival complete with 20 carnival rides and games, food and drink, a craft beer garden, live entertainment and programs, and community booths. A history exhibit provided by the Broad Ripple Gazette will be on display. Saturday will feature a Vintage Market.
